Our homestays are organized by region — High Atlas, Sahara, Marrakech, Essaouira — so you can start wherever your curiosity takes you. Every listing has real photos (we took them), honest descriptions, and a feel for the family behind the door.

Use filters to narrow down by dates, guest count, or the kinds of experiences you're hoping for — bread-making, trekking, desert nights, a quiet rooftop in the medina.

Book instantly, pay securely

Once you've found the right fit, booking takes a minute. Instant confirmation, no back-and-forth, no waiting for a host to respond to a request. Choose your dates, enter your details, pay securely — done.

We handle the payment end-to-end, so your money is protected and the family is paid fairly. Full price breakdown is shown upfront. No surprise cleaning fees, no hidden anything.

Message your host directly

The moment you book, you'll have direct messaging with your host. Ask about arrival logistics, dietary needs, what to pack, whether the kids can join in cooking — any question you have.

Most hosts speak some English, many also French. For anything lost in translation, we're here to help bridge it. The more you communicate before arrival, the warmer the welcome feels when you get there.

Arrive
04

Arrive as a guest. Leave as family.

Tea will be waiting. Probably three cups of it, each poured from higher than the last. You'll be shown your room, given the tour, and almost immediately fed something.

How involved you get in family life is up to you — but most of our guests tell us their favorite moments are the ones they didn't plan for. The evening conversation that stretched till midnight. The cooking lesson from grandmother. The impromptu hike with the teenage son.

What to expect

A real home, not a hotel in disguise.

Your room

Comfortable. Honest.

Your own clean, comfortable bedroom. Decor will be traditional — floor cushions, local textiles, hand-painted details. It will feel like Morocco, because it is.

Meals

Home-cooked, included.

Breakfast and dinner are typically included and home-cooked by the family. Tagines, couscous, fresh bread, olives, whatever the season brings. Let us know dietary needs when you book.

The family

Present, but not intrusive.

You'll share common spaces and meals, but you'll have privacy in your room. Engagement is natural, not forced. You can be as social or as quiet as you like.

Amenities

Simple comforts.

Hot water, clean bathrooms (private or shared, listed clearly), comfortable bedding. WiFi is common in cities, rarer in remote areas. Each listing tells you exactly what's there.

Perfect for you if...

  • ✓ You value experiences over luxury
  • ✓ You're curious about Moroccan culture
  • ✓ You travel with kids and want them to learn
  • ✓ You're tired of tourist traps
  • ✓ You like meeting people, not just places

Maybe not, if...

  • ✗ You need five-star hotel service
  • ✗ You want zero interaction with anyone
  • ✗ You need spa, gym, and concierge services
  • ✗ You insist on Western breakfasts
  • ✗ Cultural differences make you anxious

And that's completely fine — a homestay isn't for everyone, and we'd rather tell you that honestly than oversell it.
